White Sangria Spritzers

Recently my MIL gave me some of her mother’s lovely crystal stemware included 8 iced tea glasses. I wanted to used these more than the very rare time I want 6 ounces of iced tea! It occurred to me that sangria would be a great way to use these, even if untraditional for both the glasses and the drink.

I used this recipe, with these variations:

Nectarine instead of peach.
Grapefruit juice instead of orange, because we had half a grapefruit.
Half a larger-sized apple
No strawberries.
Plain seltzer (1:1 with the sangria)
A couple ice cubes
Pinot Grigio

So light and refreshing! And because we had guests and went through the pitcher, I was able to use the sliced fruit for two batches.

This looks like the perfect summer thirst quencher. I love the deck shots. :star_struck:

I also love a non-traditional use for stemware!

Thank you! This is such a nice, refreshing “happy hour” drink at the end of the day while sitting out there in the dappled shade.

Thanks, y’all!

@gozer It really is refreshing and relaxing. It’s so light and lightly fruity.

@sweets4ever Building that deck like to have killed me last year, but now that it’s deck season this year I am loving sitting out there and enjoying the view.
