I’m making a wrist pin cushion for myself and thought I’d make some for Shop The Swap! I KNEW I’d eventually use the short lengths of elastic I saved from the trash like 4 years ago at work. Lol
They have steel wool in them to sharpen needles and pins. They also have backs made of caps so you don’t poke yourself.

These are adorable! Just the right amount of pretty details w/o getting in the way of the function. I also save seemingly-too-short pieces of elastic, but always end up using them eventually.
