Zero Art To Give

It’s no secret @Reese52 loves The Nightmare Before Christmas and all things Tim Burton. I decided to send some TNBC love her way. Call it a care package.

Forgive me for the post title. I couldn’t resist. Contrary to that post title, though, things actually started with a coffin box in the deals section of Target. :exploding_head: I know. It was so cute and perfect and only $5. How could I say no? It only needed some Jack Skellington love to make it complete. I regret not buying more coffins. I’m sure they’re all gone now.

For the Zero painting I have this porcelain air dry clay that is silky smooth but kind of a pain to work with. It dries semi-translucent…almost like a ghost. So I made a little Zero sculpt and then found a 4x6" canvas to paint as a backdrop. I adore the dimensionality of the piece and definitely want to do more art in this style. Just not with cold porcelain.

I’m so glad you posted this. I was wondering how you did Zero as a relief, is that the correct term? Love the title of this thread! I love this package! @Tapestry thank you so much!

So thoughtful that you sent this after reading @Reese52’s post in the personal swap thread. I was looking at the larger photo of the Zero art and wondering how you achieved the effect with him. Well done!
