I was paired with @MissingWillow in the 2025 Chunky Halloween Swap. One of her themes was zombie sheep. I know she has been collecting different pieces from swaps over the years so I knew I had to pick it.
After painting the back and front black, I cut “planks” into the wood to make a barn. The door frame and window frame are pieces of a wooden fan. The stone is scrapbook paper with stones I drew on with a Sharpie.
The toughest part were the sheep. I knew I wanted some texture but I really didn’t know what to use. I remembered that I had some fake snow stuff, but it was all dried out. I added some water and let it sit for a few days and it worked! I had to layer it, let it dry, and layer some more, for about four layers or so. It took a couple of days to dry, plus I used a heat gun.
The sheep faces are felt with embroidered eyes.
I decided to take a scene right out of the Walking Dead and make bunches of zombie eyes staring. Gave me nightmares for sure!
The back is simply covered with paper and a witch sticker.
The texture on the sheep is what really jumped out for me. I love that I collect something that you can’t find to buy. I can only collect them from my crafty friends! Fabulous job, thank you again!
This is fantastic! The wood arrow was a perfect backdrop! And fake snow? Genius!! I have to admit I’ve missed the zombie sheep on our feeds here at LC!

Omg, using that wooden arrow is GENIUS! I’m going to be on the look out for house shaped things, now!

Thanks! They had a few sizes. I plan on using the really tall and narrow arrows for a Christmas village. I am always looking for materials and ways to do the backgrounds. Also, new techniques to try like lighting, hot glue, 3-D, etc. Small pumpkins and skulls are also things I look for to use in future houses.
Super neat! I know Missing willow has been collecting zombie sheep houses for probably at least the last ten years! That’s great. The textures are really neat and so good that you used the arrow!
