20 minute "Veggie Face" fitted masks

Friends sold their house in the city last year and bought a farm to run a CSA (community Supported Agriculture) project, they’d been renting farm land in previous years. There is dad, mom, and 2 little boys. They run a booth at some farmer’s markets and a farm store on their property. I’ll make them more masks so they have lots but for now, this was a great chance to test out all 4 sizes of the pattern I drafted. @AIMR recently sent me a whole whack of veggie fabric from her stash, how perfect! I timed myself for each mask, assembly is very easy and they take 20 min each. I’m not rushing, I take my time doing the edge stitching. I’m sure a faster stitcher could knock the time down to 15 minutes.

I made the little man’s mask out of the same fabric as papa’s, I thought that might encourage him to wear it since I think he might not like having his face covered.

Perfect! I am going to try out the pattern this weekend. My mail person started wearing masks…but they are ill fitted…she might appreciate ones with more pattern.

I love that you can take more time for careful stitching…I like that kind of sewing much better…

I don’t know why but the potatoes are my favourite. I imagine calling my friend “Hey, potato face. How’s it going?” and it just cracks me right up!

I had them in my stash for years…I just found all the fruits…I am glad they are being used instead of remaining in a bin…
