Woohoo! Thanks to Annchen’s darn tutorial, I just finished my first sock-darning, to give my favorite old store-bought socks some more life!
Not a very neat job, of course, being my first go, but I love the color combo and I haven’t found another pair of socks just like this anywhere. They’re the perfect dress-paired-with-clunky-boots socks. I used embroidery floss but I also have some sewing thread in the same color, so I may reinforce the toe seam with it. Though it’s already more thread than sock at this point. 
Thank you for the inspiration! I felt so empowered when I finished sock #1 that I went out and split firewood for the first time on the same day.
