2025 Artist Trading Cards January 1st through August 31st

I haven’t been doing much crafting or posting as we’ve had a very eventful spring/summer, but I did manage to make some ATCs since the beginning of the year, and I wanted to share.

___

The background on this one is a scrapbooking page, and I added the lettering and lines/border with metallic markers.

I’m experimenting with modifying playing cards. I like the idea of having a somewhat “see-through” space on them. I hope to modify an entire deck of cards eventually. Mixed media.

Coloured pencils

Mixed media (watercolour, HB pencil, coloured pencils, metallic markers, markers)

We watched “The Minecraft Movie” in the theatre with our kids, and then my son wanted to draw Minecraft portals all the time. So I took the opportunity to create some Minecraft Portal ATCs. Mixed media (coloured pencils, markers, metallic markers)

This one below was inspired by this photograph that I took at a park near my youngest daughter’s school:

Watercolour

The set below is part of my “sploosh painting” collection. When we have leftover paint after we finish a project, I squish/sploosh down a card on the paint and it makes random patterns. I then add more to the card with markers, pens, collage, etc.

For the sploosh painting card below, I added the back of a sticker that would have otherwise gone in the garbage for the eye of the monster Then I coloured it in with markers. Mixed media (acrylic, collage, markers)

I also made others since January that I have posted previously, so I’ll just link them here:

February 2025 ATCs

April ATCs and ATCoins

Most of these are available for direct trade if anyone is interested. Just shoot me a PM.

These are so much fun. The Princess Bride is my favorite! You got so much detail in there! All the cards are so colorful, and I love the sentiments.
