Painted! But I can’t share as it’s for the 4x6 swap.
Nearly a week behind. What have I been up to? (scrolls frantically through my camera roll)
2/21 - snaps & sashes on some dresses
2/22 - two more dresses all the way through
2/23 - No pictures, but I printed and folded a book to bind. Also made what will probably be my last trip to JoAnn’s
2/24 - Two more books printed, folded, and sewn - with endpapers! (I always forget that step when it’s easy to do)
2/25 - Two small books completed!
Feb 27:
- completed my four red hats I’ve been working on for most of this month.
- Added a small ball’s worth of yarn pieces to my ongoing scrappy crochet blanket.
- Working on my black Summit shawl from (yikes!) October.
Sunday and Monday I did weaving, Tuesday we were on a road trip and nothing crafty got done I bought craft supplies to do with my grand daughter, Wednesday I was weaving and today I did weaving with my grand daughter.
2/26 - painted!
2/27 - made banana bread and ginger muffins
It’s the last day of February!! While I certainly didn’t craft every day this month I do have a completed sweater to show for it!
Thank you to everyone who participated this year, whether you posted once, twice, or every day. You’re all awesome!
It’s fantastic! What a unique design! Your knitting is so nice and even as well…the color is a fabulous neutral!
@Abbeeroad That is such an interesting sleeve design! Can I ask what pattern you used? Also - fantastic yarn choice - it gives a ton of visual texture.
My past few two days have been spent cleaning my craft space and rearranging furniture (to nearly the exact same layout it was a month ago. The February experiment failed.)
Thanks guys!
@Trillian - it is the Carbeth pattern by Kate Davies. The yarn is beautiful but very heavy and stiff. I think if I were to make this sweater again I would not use this yarn.
I’m actually eyeing the Doocot sweater by the same designer as a follow up project. I have a few other things on the list first, though.
Today I painted casing in my craft space and now it’s totally finished. I managed to do something each day of this month, some days not much but a bit.
2/26-28: A bit more tidying. I wouldn’t say it’s done, but it is so much better/less overwhelming than it was. Please hold me accountable for continuing to put things away when I’m done .
No crafting (yet?) this evening, but the last couple of nights I’ve worked on potential pieces for the upcoming 4x6 swap.
Thanks for running this again, Abbie!
February 28: I enjoyed the nice weather today and knit on my front porch in the afternoon. Got some more done on my black shawl.
Feb 28 - made a base for my last 4x6 art swap piece.
I managed to do something creative 26 out of 28 days. Woot!
CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE WHO COMPLETED THIS CRAFTALONG!!!
My vacation kept me from completing this Craftalong, but today after woodworking in the shop, I started a project similar to the one I did for last year’s thing-a-day, so I might try to do my own personal March version! We’ll see how it goes.
This includes many of my thing-a-days from February - drypoint etchings for an exhibition that opens on Saturday, yay!! A printmaker friend and I have been making art about local threatened species, and these are my ones.
Thanks so much @Abbeeroad and everyone who participated I haven’t been very active on the thread because I’ve been too busy trying to get everything ready for the exhibition and then spent a lot of time framing them all this week. But I have really appreciated the inspiration in this thread!
You are all amazing!!
I should have known better than attempting this craftalong when I would be spending about half of the month overseas on vacation and attemping a big time sort of project. so, my Thing-A-Day turned to Same-Thing-A-Day, more or less. I’m working on a sweater, learning to knit as I go.
I think I managed to get a tiny bit of crafting done every day, except maybe the day we spent at Disneyland.
So, here’s my February:
Wow! That’s amazing progress since you’re learning as you go. I hope your daughter loves it.
Love the prints! Especially your frogs.
That looks fantastic!
Beautiful! What an accomplishment to learn a new skill!
