This one is for my mom, who’s brother died recently. He did that classic bachelor uncle thing of wrapping gifts in newspaper, so I thought this paper was a nice homage to him, even though they are book pages. The red dots are flocked!
I set a goal for myself this year of having all the mail-away gifts out the door by the end of November and I think I just might be on track to meet it! Other than picking up the cards for those pillow boxes today, I am just waiting for orders to trickle in.
Ooops! I forgot the gift tags that I mentioned in the title! While going through winter and holiday themed printed cardstock, I came upon several examples of sweater-inspired designs and remembered that I have a die and embossing folder set that is a little sweater. Obviously, I had to give it a try! I liked how it turned out, so I made a few in each paper I had set aside.
Aw, thanks! I love those tags, too! In fact, I’m thinking that I may skip my annual turning-xmas-cards-into-tags habit this year, because I am enjoying making die cut tags so much. Also, I still have a lot of the tags made from cards AND I have a couple new die sets that make small holiday images that would be perfect for tags.
I think it is so cool that you gave a nod to the newspaper wrapping. And flocking sounds like an adventure.
I’m trying to get all the packages wrapped by the end of November, too. Whenever I wrap packages, I think of you. Your packages always look so crisp and cheery!
Awwww, thank you so much! I do enjoy taking (too much?) time to wrap gifts. My plan may be vexed by a shipping delay… for something I ordered on the 6th. Dang!
Luckily, that paper came flocked! I can’t even imagine doing it myself.
