I recently picked up a die set for making a gift card “pop-up” card and was excited to try it even though I don’t have any gift card gifts coming up soon. So I made Christmas ones, knowing that they would be useful in December.
I decorated the front with die cuts inspired by the inside.
I also recently go a die set for a soda/beer can that came with some florals for using the can as a “vase.” I chose to put a candy cane in there instead! My desire to try this set is what made me realize there really wasn’t a reason to not go vertical with the card.
In this case, I chose the card paper to suit the can.
I used a scoring board to make envelopes.
In the winter months when the sun is so low in the sky and the trees create so many shadows, it’s difficult to find a good spot to take photos. This is especially true if it is snowing or raining. The best spot for even slightly indirect natural light is on the floor of the the guestroom/TheMisterT’s office. It’s still not that great, but when taking this shots I also learned that it’s a very curious spot for a puppy!
