3D Paper Snowflakes

My kid was in charge of the decorations for a New Year’s party in her class, so we made some snowflakes. We learned this technique in one of her Zoom art classes during quarantine. They are simple and fun, the smaller size was a bit fiddly.

Progress shot, you can see the pencil and ruler there for scale

Very pretty, I bet that small one was fiddly. Hope her class liked them!

They sure are pretty! They do look complicated!

They do, don’t they?
But they are actually simple, and all you need is paper, glue, scissors, a pencil and a ruler.
And a bit of string, if you want to add the loops as I did, to make them easier to hang.

They are beautiful! And I love that you recycled some pages to make them. That little bit of black printing on them actually adds iterest and texture (if that makes sense?), in my opinion.

Agree. Love the bit of text peeking out. It really accentuates the depth of them.
