4x6 Swap Round 11 - Sign up by June 27. Send out by July 1

Let’s Swap Some ART!

This swap is open to all skill levels — just bring your best effort and love for handmade art. Let your creativity run wild to make something small but meaningful for your fellow Lettuce Crafters.

What You’ll Make:

Create one piece of original art measuring 4” x 6”, in any style or medium. Think collage, embroidery, watercolor, mixed media — the sky’s the limit!
Note: Pieces must take at least 30 minutes of active creation time (not including drying or machine processes), and alcohol ink or acrylic pours are not permitted.

You can choose to send to 1, 2, or 3 partners — just be sure to create a unique piece for each one.

Swap Timeline:

  • Sign-up Deadline: June 27, 2025
  • Partners Assigned: June 28, 2025
  • Mail-By Deadline: July 1, 2025

Shipping Info:

  • You must be willing to ship internationally.
  • Keep your piece flat and lightweight — think something that fits in a regular envelope with one stamp.

Ohh so we’re not making art tailored for our partner?

You are correct. We have always made this an artist’s choice swap. It’s a great, low-stress swap because you just make what speaks to you! Everyone that signs up loves making and receiving fun art pieces, so it’s a win-win situation.

Other swaps like the ATC, ATC coins, and most recently the inkbox cards were crafted for specific partners. They happen on a pretty good cadence, so if you want to wait for one of those instead, feel free.

Can we follow a tutorial to make our art for this? (Does that make the art unoriginal?)

I thought it just meant the art project must be made by you yourself, and not something you happen to have that was made by another crafter?
I thought using tutorials was ok, but I’ll watch with you to see kwality’s response~

You can use a tutorial. This is just like before.

@kayrun is absolutely correct. It just needs to be made by you to be original!

Awesome sauce! There are some tutorials I’ve been wanting to try!

Ooh, this is interesting. I like that it needs to be done and ready by the time you commit to it. This might suit my current pace of life, so I have bookmarked it.

Yes! It’s a fun way to create! If you don’t have them made in time, you can save them for future rounds too!

I got my first piece done during my craft meetup up this morning!

girl, you are on the ball!
I wonder if we can do another crafty zoom meeting in the next few weeks?
Guess I should go find that discussion & revive it, eh?

I started my first piece last night, had a lovely time sorting through piles of collage stuff.

A zoom hangout would be lovely if it happened at a time I can make (UTC +1) but don’t make it in a weird time for others just for me.

Looking forward to this one!

I would more than happily do a Google Meet meeting. I’d be limited to 60 minutes, but I think that would be fine for a little chatty art session!

Let’s do this Saturday at 10:30 AM EST. Send me a PM with your personal email address if you’d like an invite!
