That’s a really nice idea, giving your swap items a theme.
I guess mine would be colorful and glittery if I want to try out my metallic paint.
Can I ask a swap related question? Do people tend to put on the back of their art their LC user name and that it was made for the 6x4 round 11 swap.
I will have to do a customs declaration, and I wonder if making for a swap means I can’t put that items have “no commercial value” on the customs label.
Sometimes I put that it’s for a swap on the back but usually forget. I’m lucky if I remember to put my name on the back. For the customs form I always mark the gift box. But for the 4x6” swap I usually send letter mail and haven’t done a customs form for it.
Started on a second piece this morning!
I agree, so very interesting the way humans around the world measure things!
the zoom this morning was very inspiring! thanks to @jemimah @gozer @geekgirl and @Kwality570 for being there to answer so many of my noob questions!
hugs all around~
I plan to finish a piece next weekend & sign up
If you just use a thicker paper for them instead of a canvas board, you can just mail them in an envelope and bypass all of that!
I usually put my username and the month and year on the back.
Ace, thanks @photojenn and @Kwality570. They are definitely thin enough to go as Royal Mail letter, so I’ll just skip the customs form.
Thanks for the middle-of-the-night zoom! It’s always lovely to make art with friends
And thanks for always answering my questions about your continents.
I FINALLY finished a private swap piece I’ve been working on for 2 weeks on and off so I can focus on this swap. Now to figure out what I’m making!
Yay! I can’t wait to see what you come up with! It’s always so inspiring to see your pieces.
Awww, thank you. That’s so sweet.
I’ve finished one, or possibly two, pieces. I’ll see if I can get another one done before I send in my sign up!
I got one done and I have the second one planned out. I will be joining soon.
Nope I guess I’m not going with this one. I’d easily get in two 4 inch art pieces, but then they’d not be 6 inches tall.
I painted an owl originally for this swap but I just love it too much and I keep sending out all of my favorites so I’m keeping this one
I’m back to having one piece done and think I might switch mediums for the next piece because my original piece took me like 5 hours.
Glad you kept the owl for yourself! That is allowed. (It’s hard to make things for ourselves isn’t it??)
oh…my! That owl is fabulous!! Definitely needs to stay in your nest
I started two pieces last night and have my idea for the third. Probably. One is my norm, one is outside my norm, and who the heck knows with piece number 3.
I started my first piece yesterday with some cat help/supervision. I have an idea on how to proceed and I hope I don’t ruin it in the next stage.
