Such a darling print!
I see you are also using the February Thing-A-Day to get your books done! Me, too, to get my mini-quilt done! So much accountability! ha ha ha
I have changed my view on what exactly a WIP is. I now have “On going projects” that just take more time and should not be stressing me out (thanks to @Immaculata for that insight!).
Still working on getting rid of or finishing WIPS and new projects.
I was thinking about some project storage idea to encourage me to stitch a little when I’m just sitting on the couch and this cute little sewing station is actually a nice idea. I don’t need the pattern as I would create something customized for my needs but it’s pretty adorable anyhow. Reminds of that sew-together bag with all the additions it had. I’m just dreaming about projects today though, I haven’t been sleeping well with Rob away and I’m too tired to do anything at the moment. Hopefully tomorrow will be a more energetic day and I’ll have something to add to my progress list here.
@AIMR I’m in the same boat regarding the WIPs! And it feels so good to check some off the list.
My February goal is to set up the craft room. My daughter moved out of our home last year and I can’t let her old bedroom go to waste! It’ll be a process because there’s so much in the basement to sort through, but I’ll post some progress pics.
I saw the finished project on Pinterest, and when I couldn’t find a link to a shop to buy it, I charted it myself. The design itself is just about 3” across, and I used a 4” hoop for framing. Now to not misplace it before Christmas!

Awesome finish! I know a few of us had WIPS leftover from Christmas and got them done “early” for 2026! ha ha
I started out with the goal of making quite a few mods to make it perfect for me, but uh….ended up scrapping most of it to be honest. I should quit trying to be more clever than the pattern writers. This is based on the Vasylyna hood, though that pattern calls for a stockinette body. I originally made it so that I never joined in the round after completing the hood, made buttonholes, and sewed on buttons. But I just really didn’t like how it sat. I ended up sewing it all up and like it a lot better. Go figure.
Here it is pre-sewing on buttons. The neck is long enough to fold double, and I got quite warm wearing it around my house so I think that bodes well.
Just now, I finished a project that was already finished, lol. I made a bathrobe last year or the year before last, and never got around to adding loops for the tie, and pockets. I came across a small scrap in my stash and I used up all the remaining fabric, which is another win.
Finished the table candle mat and it’s in place on the dining table as we speak. It feels good to have finally made that kit, and to have it in use during a big snow season here.

So cute! It will brighten anyone’s day seeing that during the cold winter months!
Week 5 - I have slippers to work on this month! Winter has been getting to me, but I can do a little bit each day.
