A Collection of Cute Monster Granny Squares

Inspired by the Monster Jam and the birth of my nephew, I crocheted up 7 cotton monster granny squares. They will eventually become part of a larger gift for my nephew, but I got started before I had a plan. (They are so cute, so how could I resist?)

I got the pattern here but replaced the button eyes with yarn to be less of a choking hazard:

I wanted to make more than 7, but a sprained wrist mid-May and just kinda wanting to give the final project more variety changed that idea.

These are very cute. They would make a great “reading pillow“ and gift it with a fun monstery book like The Gruffalo or something. And you could make it so that two of them are loose to make a pocket so you could put the book in there, kind of like how I did the llama ones for @jillybeans but do the pocket on the front maybe.
