Acrylic flower painting

This is my first acrylic painting in a while.

For 2 years this was a blank canvas in the washroom. I was completely overthinking what art/ colours/ theme/ composition would be best here and just paralyzed with indecision. It became a joke anytime we had guests- they’d say that the blank canvas was their favourite art work in the whole house.

Finally after browsing homesense (equivalent to home goods) I saw a painting and thought to myself '“ I could do that “.. and for once, I wasn’t all talk  I actually DID do it!

So here’s my painting. I completely winged it. I made use of whatever random paint colours I already had (and had to throw out some colours that were dried :frowning: )

At the end of the day, it’s s a splash of colour and it’s just fine for the space😁.

Moral of the story is, just go for it.

@MamaRhi thank you for your kind words!

@bethntim thank you ! Even as I was painting it on the table I was second guessing myself but there’s something about hanging / framing art work that makes it feel more polished. As soon as I hung it I was happier with it.

Love it! Bold and modern but I think it’ll still look fabulous 20 years from now!
