Altered Tea Tags

Late last year I got into an evening tea habit and was disappointed to discover that my Great Value teabags had the most boring tags. No fun/wise sayings like everybody else’s tea, just the logo and the steep time :expressionless:. So I fixed them.

I covered one side of the tags with scraps, gelli prints, etc., and then added sentiments to most. The bigger batch has stickers from a Tim Holtz set and the smaller batch book text.

A few got stamping and, in one case, just a sticker (I was done ).

Thanks for looking!

Thanks so much, everyone! They were really fun to work on.

I love so much your ability to find and create art in the mundane.

Very nice! Tiny space work, salvaging, collage. What more could a crafter want? :cupid: That book text collage is also called ransom note journaling. I love using it. Will you be using these nifty little elements in papercrafting?

A couple will almost certainly end up in my journal. I also tucked a few in some happy mail the other day.

You always seem to be working on some paper goodness and it always comes out fantastic!

I love these so much! After doing the inchie swap last year, I’m always so impressed with how much people can do in tiny spaces–because it’s hard!

It would be cool to creatr some kind of patchwork with these.

My tea tags are also boring. Perhaps I might try this some time
