I tend to mess around in my whatever journal in front of the TV and then neglect to post anything because most of it doesn’t feel like a “real” project. So please enjoy this photo dump of some of that messing about from the last few months.
Sticky note graveyard (inspired by a page I saw on YT)
Thank you, both for the feature and the kind comment!
I should say, I’m not looking down on the projects themselves. I think there’s just something about them being the result of puttering versus, say, sitting down at the craft table to execute an idea that my brain wants to process as “oh, that old thing?”
I like how they are all different. The first one is my favorite. I love the chaos in it and made me think of it like a brain-storm quilt. Not that I know anything about quilting, because I don’t. I just mean the visual blocking in it looks like a quilt to me.
I love the “stickynote graveyard” idea! I might just have to copy it, lol!
I like that portions of the silhouette are coloured and others are not; it makes certain details stick out.
I also like to “putter around” in a journal. I often just start gluing bits and pieces in without a plan, then I see something and go with it. It feels great to just create for the sake of creating.
