Autumn Coat

i think i finished this last spring - it’s not truly winter wear, as it’s only good to about -15 or so (with two sweater layers underneath, tbh). I got the pink fabric as a hand-me-down - one of my aunts at one time was going to make curtains, came to me instead. The orange is from a set of curtains from Giant Tiger. I made the applique leaves from the orange fabric (and had to burn seal all the edges. ALL the edges). I’ve worn it a lot, and now it’s time for a new one, I think. I do love a long coat, though

Sorry the colours are so hard to see - they are tonally fairly similar, but IRL you can actually tell the difference.

Now this is functional art you can wear! What a stunner! So creative with the use of materials…I know you have more coats on your list, but I had no idea this was they kind of coat you were making…I am a fan!

That is a piece of wearable art - great job! (There are Giant Tiger stores in Alberta?!? I had no idea.)

I had never seen one before I moved here (from BC) - but I dig it. Reminds me of Saan stores, way back in the day!

Amazing!

Love the colors with the black trim. And the style!
