All were made with 2 strands of worsted weight acrylic yarn held together and a J (6.0 mm) hook. All used my usual stash basket pattern as a base, but were modified in various ways.
Then I made a smaller basket using the basketweave stitch on the sides (switching every 4 rounds) and crab stitch (reverse single crochet) on the top edge.
I still had yarn left, so I made another even smaller basket with basketweave (switching every round) and crab stitch (reverse single crochet) on the top edge.
What a great way to use up extra yarn and they are absolutely beautiful! I’m generally not a huge fan of neutral colours, but the patterns/textures give them a depth that I don’t usually feel when looking at neutrals.
*That was my confusing and long-winded way of saying that I really, really like these!

Love the diamond patterned basket!
I notice that you and me (and probably a lot of other people!) have to keep going until we use up the last little bit of yarn we are trying to destash! ha…you got three nice sized baskets, but I bet that last little bit is driving you bonkers…ha.
@AIMR - Not really - all off my little balls of yarn go in one bin for amigurumi or scrappy projects & I have a bunch in there right now, so it has plenty of company!
It is currently in my bin of finished projects.
I have several others that are similar in size & they’re used to hold yarn/fabric/unfinished projects/etc.
