I found my copy of Flow after the call. It’s Issue 11. A friend bought it for me second hand quite a while ago.
I am inspired now to start using parts of this in creating new artworks

Brief Description: This is the postcard I created for July. It was based on this tutorial from Andrea Nelson, where she used just one color (in her case pink) to create her jellyfish. Since I was sending to LindyBlues, I decided to go with blue for her instead. Nature is always astounding. We got to take a mini family vacation in June to St. Louis, where we saw some amazing jellyfish at the Magic House, and at the Aquarium. They were so hypnotic to watch.

Project Name: Quilted Panels
Brief Description: I used my Arts & Crafts Club cookie cutter (along with a star cutter, and a large circle cutter from a kids hand print kit) as a template, to cut pieces of fabric I created back in 2023 during the Midwest Meetup Solar Printing session. I did some wonky raw-edge applique quilting over each shape, and a simple stipple to fill in the background and add some texture. I think the panels are going to become the top portion of a quilted tote bag. (I’m counting this as a finished project, because it took several hours on its own.) When the panels are used and washed and dried, the edges will become fuzzy.

I took my googly eyes to SDCC. Did I take a single picture with them at the con? No, I did not. To be fair, I probably would have gotten trampled if I’d tried. It was very, very crowded.
I did, however, use them to photobomb my friend’s house with her permission.
That colorful tree of life is looking mighty fancy. (But also, that is the coolest thing I’ve seen. It’s embroidery floss flowers with button and printed button centers. So original and lovely!)
Next I spotted these rare and colorful flowers.
And finally, this small but mighty tree hanging out next the kiddie pool and trying to look all casual.

Brief Description: They requested 3 wasp nests overall. The yarn is an ombré yarn that has grey, black, and brown fibers blended together, and it has a bit of fuzz to it (which made it a bit tangly at times, as it tended to stick to itself).
