My crew and I are of the mix tape generation. Like actual creating-actual-cassette-tape-mixes-on-home-stereo-equipment-old. So I thought this would be a birthday card for a dear one’s birthday.
Ten paper brads make this one extra cool and authentic-looking. I used that blue section on the back to write a personal note. I wrote it in a wondering path around the edges to give it a true mix tape vibe.
I just noticed that I had posted the wrong pic for the flattening-into-the-envelope shot and replaced it with the right one. The other was from a card I made a few years ago for another Gen X pal!
I used to still have loads of cassettes, original and mix tapes. I have nothing to play them on so sent them to a friend a few years back.
In a kinda tidy up I found the insert to a mix tape a school friend made in the 90s, I’m going to try and recreate it in spotify when I get a moment
Oh, that’s so cool! I still have my 1994 pickup truck with its original radio/tape deck and a few tapes (including mixes) for it. I also have a gadget that hooks to a CD Walkman so we could listed to CDs on the road!
What a fun card! You always do such a nice job of matching up papers to a project and this is no exception. I love the addition of the brads, they really elevate the final product!
