I received my first ever Chunky House from @thanate ! At first I thought it was a drawing, but upon closer inspection, it is machine embroidered and then enhanced! So beautiful…I framed it for my Halloween collection! The image and fine details are just so nice! Thanks so much for this lovely piece!

How were the elements enhanced with color? All I can think of are fabric markers and whatever it is that Noialand uses (I have it in a pattern of theirs but I can’t remember).
@AIMR & @Bunny1kenobi how lucky you are! I love how the “house” framed up so perfectly. The embroidery is so much fun! And the colors are wonderfully spooky.

The embroidery patterns are all lineart, to which I added watercolors.

That’s so cool! Watercolors! I looked up in one of my patterns how to add slightly rosy cheeks and they used artist pastels marked on paper, then use a paintbrush to lift from paper and apply to felt.
I really like the green you used on the witch.

I received my house from @irid3sc3nt and it so perfectly captured my creepy cute theme! I’m obsessed with it.
First, the sweet box and some surprise star sprinkles!
And LOOK at this! I truly squeed and giggled when I opened it. I love it. The texture on the house, the big floofy lashes, the little dots on the irises, the bright colors. Even the ghosts are adorable on their own! It really has its own personality!
It’s double-sided, with a great vintage vibe on the back. She knows I’m scared, lol!
She also included a flap to cover the artist details - so clever!
And a better photo of the super cool glass domed crystal ball.
Thank you so much for being such a great organizer and partner! This swap really helped get me out of a creative slump and has been a blast. And now I have my two new favorite Halloween decorations (except I’m pretty sure they’re both staying out all year).

Whew! I’m so glad you like it! You would not believe how much I kept revising my design, hence 80% of why I extended the sendout date.
The woman on the back is a tattooed lady, sort of a nod to one of your themes. I loved her expression, though, and some LC friends convinced me to go with it in the Zoom meeting.
