I made this cicada Necklace for @Rlynn for the recent Santa sack swap. 
I don’t usually make jewelry that requires this many steps, but I’ve had Rlynn as a partner before and I know she likes jewelry so I wanted to give it a go!
I’m pleased with how it turned out. The subtlety of the colors should match with a variety of outfits.

I like how there is a lot going on, but the colors make it subtle and neutral.
I love this necklace! It looks like a typical necklace until you get to the cicada…my favorite part! It looks terrific against the gray top and I am sure it is a stand out with lots of colors!

It looks great. I would have never thought of cicada jewelry but it’s perfect.

The head design board was really helpful. It’s not actually necessary to make the necklace but I would’ve struggled more without. Very helpful tool.
I have seen the Cicada at Hobby Lobby. Almost bought one myself.
