Coaster set from scraps

I love making something from nothing.

After sewing a cushion cover, then using the left over bits to make a pouch, the scrapcatcher was overflowing.

Some of those bits weren’t too bitty…

Oooohhhh…

Fused to thick felt.

Stitched all over.

Chopped into pieces

Once the scrappy binding was on even the backs looked cool!

How did you fuse it to the felt? These look amazing! I’d love to try to make some as gifts for Christmas.

Wonderful explosion of color and pattern! The bottom looks cool, as well. I was also wondering what you used to fuse the fabric to the felt.

Any fusible webbing works, I have some that’s backed with paper & some that’s just a sheet on its own. Pretty sure I mixed & matched scraps, I keep all the little off cuts.

A good lesson from you is that you make a big project, then a smaller project, and then use the scraps. Start to finish, you use up everything!

These are fantastic and I love your method.
