Partners are out!!! I’m going to extend the sendouts a bit since I’m a little late getting those out to everyone. I’m still a little under the weather and have just been playing a lot of catchup.

Sent my parcel off last week, not the waiting game, could take 4 weeks apparently. Slow mail and forest fires make for a somewhat interesting summer which is the only time I can actually swap.

Started working on a piece today. I just grabbed a bunch of scraps in my partner’s favorite colors, and started sewing, based on an inspiration picture. After sewing and ironing a bunch, I decided to look closer at the directions on the inspiration piece. Looks like I don’t have enough scraps to make the giant ______ they did, but I can certainly make a nice smaller version. After deciding to change my version a little, I sliced and diced up my _____ ____, and have piles ready for my next round of sewing.

I just got back from a long week of camping, music, and friends in the woods of Michigan. Now I have to do tons of laundry, drying out camping gear and storing for the next trip.
And I can start stalking for a fun idea for this swap. I love being in retirement.

Finished my medium!

I’m finally getting started! I knew what I wanted to do, it was just finding time to finally get started.
I haven’t started, either. 
I JUST mailed my mini pocket letter, though, so I can focus on this swap!
Started and about a 1/4 of the way through. It’s hot and so muggy and my back gets sore when sewing. But I am loving the creative process.

I made a little something today. I’m going to bring some supplies with me on my trip upstate to visit family next week so I can work on my bigger project. I always have good intentions of crafting on “vacation” (I’ll actually be working while I’m there, but should be light on actual work), but rarely manage to get anything done. Let’s hope this time is different!
