Craft Your Pins 2025 Craftalong

That’s what I was thinking as well. If we post all our creations in 1 reply, the reply will get very long, and people won’t get notified that there’s a new creation posted.

And I think a broad theme as a suggestion is a good idea as well.

I’ll add some more info in the original post to reflect this stuff, a little while later this morning. Thanks for your input!

Goal Pin 1: Socca (chickpea bread): https://ca.pinterest.com/pin/584131014143680198/ COMPLETE

I crafted my first pin! It did not work overly well as our cast iron pan had gone missing, so I used what I had. It wasn’t as crispy as I had hoped, but it still tasted good.

It fell apart when I cut it though :frowning:

January theme

January’s theme is KITCHEN. Make something for your kitchen, in your kitchen, or kitchen-inspired.

Feel free to completely ignore this theme and do something else, or use it for inspiration to find a pin in your collection to complete.

I’ve also added a little more info to the original post, and I’ll add the monthly themes there as well, so they’re easier to find.

I agree with a separate post each time because of the notifications and such. I am probably not going to post every completion in here because I feel like I am already tracking all of my finishes in the 50 Projects list. I don’t think multiple postings works for me, too confusing!

Makes sense!

My 50 projects are mostly ATCs and things I started last year that I want to finish, so the projects I’ll post in here are “extra,” lol. I mostly want to actually make the recipes I pinned years ago :joy:

I get a lot of notifications from Pinterest but instead of just pinning, I decided I was use a few of them as inspiration to make some small doodles. I like doodling between other larger projects or when I am bored with a tv show.

It also gives me ideas for larger art projects or journaling. I am also trying to use some of the art supplies I bought during Covid and never really used.

I might get around to these this weekend!

I’ve got jeans pockets cut out (have had them in my stash for years and years) I bought insulbrite and I think I have batting scraps, too.

Beautiful doodles! The black and white ones remind me of embroidery/lace, especially the flower one.

I just realized I never came up with a theme for February. Better late than never?

Inspire by @AIMR’s latest post, February’s theme is DOODLE.

Feel free to use the theme for inspiration for this last week of January, or to ignore it all together and do your own thing.

My goal pins for this week:

Onigirazu for dinner on Monday, but I’m going to replace the salmon with cooked crunchy tilapia.

10-minute vegan “tuna” salad for lunch on Wednesday. I keep meaning to make this, and I keep just eating the hearts of palm before I get a chance :joy:

For a snack on Friday, I want to make these mini chickpea flour frittatas. I’ve made these before and they’re yummy.

This is a great idea. I’ll have to rummage through my pins

These took about half an hour. Jeans pockets from stash (am I the only one that never wastes a pair of jeans?) Backing from stash, cotton batting from stash, I only bought the Insul-bright.

nope!

I tried a cat toy from my pinterest “do this” list in January & the cats were not at all impressed. I should probably go back & pick something else.

I’ve completed my second pin!

Lots of changes as I didn’t have a lot of the ingredients, but it turned out absolutely delicious!

I also made some non-crunchy tilapia for those who just wanted fish.

I’ll make a standalone post on how I made it.

One of my goals this year was to stop pinning so much and start making some things, inspired or taught on Pinterest.

I have a section for crochet bags and crochet stitches. I decided that might be a good place to find projects I can do while watching tv at night.

Here are the two bags I finished this month. Mine is on the left, the Pinterest one is on the right.

Beautiful bags! And hooray for following through on those pins

I’m still trying not to eat all my hearts of palm before making the sandwich I pinned. I so far have only failed at this task, lol… Perhaps I ought to buy 3 cans and plan on making the sandwich on the same day I buy the heart of palm.

I love heart of palm, so you must make this!

Inspired by your onigirazu, I am headed to the Asian market this weekend. I say a great pin where you use the nori but then wrap the entire thing in rice paper and then brown it to get a really crunchy outside.

Also, Korean tuna salad is one of my pins, so it would be nice to get these two done by the end of the month!

Oooh, this sounds delicious! I might have to give it a try!

Its hard to believe, but April is almost upon us! What would you prefer for April’s theme?

  • Punny jokes
  • Tea/Coffee/Hot beverages
  • Spring
  • Other (please make suggestions as a reply to this poll)

I missed this craftalong earlier, what a good idea! I’m planning to edit and act on some of my pins too. Recently I’ve been copying out some of the quotes and poems I’ve bookmarked, either in a notebook or in paintings/illustrations. It’s nice to spend time thinking about the inspiration, rather than just pinning and then forgetting about it.
