I finally made the salad in a jar. I posted about it on the main forum a while back, and I finally have time to post it here, too. Woohoo!

This was delicious, and I’m hoping to make it regularly.

Looks so yummy!

I need to pick two items from my Pinterest for May! I keep adding to my Pinterest so thanks for reminding me to actual craft something from it! ha

I crafted a pin of mine without changing it wildly! Finally…

@MamaRhi I like the paper dolls!!! Really neat.

I completed another pin I think last week but life has been very hectic with the house under construction and a bit of an emergency with my son. He broke his front tooth, did a number on his lower lip and chin, and he’s autistic and has a very difficult time dealing with pain, so there was a lot of energy used up on just helping him to stay as calm as possible given the circumstances… I feel like I’m still recovering from the ordeal…

Everyone’s OK now and I feel like I can take a breather and a break and post some stuff

I finally made the “vegan” “tuna” salad; it was pretty good but I’m not sure if I’ll make it again; it felt like a lot of effort for just “pretty good” results.

I also made more of the salad in a jar, but of course my husband doesn’t like tomatoes and my daughter doesn’t like corn, so I modified each jar for each person… at least it’s a quick thing.

And I hadn’t listed this as one of my pins, but my son’s birthday party was this past Saturday (thankfully we were able to get his tooth fixed before the party…) and I had looked up some ideas on how to make a minecraft-inspired cake. So here’s another completed pin that wasn’t really on the list I shared earlier, but I’m still counting it, lol!

The “earth blocks” are vegan chocolate cake with buttercream icing (not vegan); I made both. The “sand blocks” are store-purchased rice krispies and the “water blocks” are blue jello made from the jello packet.

May Theme

We’ve had a rough few weeks for various reasons, and I missed putting up a poll and announcing a theme for May.

Since it’s already May 12th, I’m just going to choose a theme, and I’ll try to do better for next month.

May’s theme is :hibiscus: SPRING :hibiscus:

Feel free to use this theme as inspiration for your Pinterest crafting, or ignore it all together. Post your projects; we want to cheer you on

Is this still active?

Yes! It’s a low key craftalong; anyone who wishes can join.

Unfortunately I may not be able to provide monthly themes, but crafting your pins and posting them here is still encouraged.

While I love this forum and want to post more often, including encouraging these craftalongs… life has been somewhat difficult for me this spring/summer, and my focus is on my family at this time.

I wrote about it in the creative writing thread if anyone is curious.

I think we’ve all been a bit busy but I’m still using pinterest a lot for ideas. So I’m still up for it!

Do you have any pins you want to craft? I’m starting to think of fall and Halloween crafting and there are a lot of interesting pins on my fall board.

I joined this thread early, shared a make I wanted to do, then … did nothing about it lol. Actually had just deleted the bookmark, then put it back because I do still want to do my pin.

My Dollar Tree version. It was slim pickings art our store, but I spent about $10 for the florals and the plastic skulls. The container is a plastic ice tea bottle that I cut.

Really cool! I like your black flowers better than the ones in the original picture

I just got what the store had. I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on Halloween decor for such a short period. Thanks!

What a cool arrangement!

Thanks. I want to add orange or purple flowers but Dollar tree didn’t have any. I found some lime green ones in my stash that I will try out today.

Meanwhile, I got another Pinterest post completed. I made a new board showing my inspiration . Wow…two done out of a zillion! ha ha ha

I have another picked out to finish this week. My goal is to get at least 5 pinned items done before next year!

I received an email saying one of my pins has been removed because it contains “adult content"!

I was very surprised as my boards are full of craft patterns and recipes and nothing remotely adult can be found there. There’s a report you can download and apparantly it’s because I pinned a bra-sewing tutorial…

There is a woman in a bra in the picture, and you can see the shape of her breasts, but the picture is of a long-line, full cup, plain white cotton bra. There are a million of fashion pictures on pinterest way more revealing than this one. There’s apparantly an appeal process, does anyone have experience with that? It looks like it may be a hassle, but I pinned this website specifically because I’m interested in making my own bra and this seemed like a good source for info (note to self: next time, bookmark a website instead of pin!)

I have had over a dozen such pin removals (all craft or home decorating pins) all claiming adult content. I don’t remember if i ever challenged it, to be honest. It felt futile.
