I horde empty containers I think I might use later. It’s a problem. But the day finally came when this old Nestle plastic container got a makeover, thanks to the Summerween Swap.
I painted some beachy vampire art I really wanted to use; but my swap partner, @momiemae can’t hang art in her house, unfortunately. Then inspiration struck: I could use the art on a container for her kitchen. It’s one of things she listed on her wish list. Hello, Nestle. I made art for the top as well, scanned and sized both, and then printed them on vinyl sticker paper and added some thin laminate for protection.
I’ve made a seperate post for my Vampire Beach Day painting, but the rest of my process pics are below. I had to lighten the top art in photoshop so the sand color matched the vampire painting. I was a bit too enthusiastic with my browns.
Until youmentioned in your description that this was a Nesquick container, I didn’t see it. I was too focused on your art! But that yellow makes for a great pop of color to enhance that painting.
Ha! Hoarding containers reminders me of those commercials about turning into your parents.

I come from a line of recovering hoarders. Each generation gets a bit better. The only thing I really hoard are craft supplies, containers to craft with, and random small boxes for mailing things.
