I wanted to do something a little different this year with my pumpkin carvings, but also didn’t want it to be too difficult.
First I cleaned out the pumpkin and cut out a simple design. Then I drilled some holes around the eyes and used twine to create X’s over the eyes.
I thought it would be easy to stick toothpicks in the mouth, but it’s actually pretty difficult to do with a fresh pumpkin. I ended up having to hammer in each one, but it turned out pretty cool!

Creepy cool! I especially love the twine over the eyes. Simple, yet sinister! I have struggled with the toothpicks in a pumpkin, too. Seems like it should be so easy! Your hammering paid off big!

You know, a lot of supervisors would have just assumed their job was done once the pumpkin was carved. It’s good to see that when Pilot takes on a job, he sees it through to the very end. 
lol! I didn’t even notice him in the window until I went to upload it. He is so cute.
