Domestic Mess cross stitch

This is for @Bunny1kenobi in the Color in a Mini Box Swap.
The design came from her Pinterest. Initially, it was a machine embroidery pattern from urbanthreads that was black and red. I’m 93.7% certain I purchased the file then used some online thingy to convert it to cross stitch. I opened that up in Paint and went through filling in squares to clean up the pattern.
The background is mint green Aida I purchased on Etsy from NeedleworkwithJim.
I forget which number the green floss is, but if you press me I could get up and go look
It took a lot longer than I anticipated to stitch, but I’m quite happy with the end result.

Here it is still on the Q-snap with a hand for scale.

This is great! I’m sure this took FOREVER since it’s so big. I wouldn’t have guessed without the photo with your hand. A great little labor of love!

I’m glad you added the hand shot. It’s much bigger than I imagined. Love the mint color. This is super cool.

@Kwality570 @gozer I’m glad I took the pic with my hand in it even though you can see my chewed hangnail :expressionless:

Nobody noticed that nail but you. We were all entranced by the awesome stitching!

I really enjoyed working with those colors for the swap. I did not get tired of mint green and black. Originally it was going to be red and black, but it was harder to find items in that combination that weren’t something vampire-related

That’s hysterical!

Ha, the “mess” part of the whole piece took the longest. It was a “big Mess”!
