Donate to Help LettuceCraft

I think that would be a good idea - also repeating the link (maybe it was?) I scrolled back to the beginning of this thread to find it and it should be something very easy for us to find!

I’m still willing to send someone a brooch or something if they’d donate that money to LettuceCraft.

@sweets4ever - Are we at the point that we need to do another fund raiser?

Thank you so much for that!!

I would love to keep us ad-free here on the forums as well. That is my goal at least! I’m trying to get a blog side of the website up as well, and on that portion, I would run ads within the blogs & on the sidebars. That being said, that has been my goal for over a year now and I’m still not there, so time will tell. It’s a time and mental bandwidth juggle (that I’m more than happy to do!). :revolving_hearts:

Yes! I love that idea. I did one when I first opened donations. Thinking I will do one again sometime in November. Closer to our site anniversary, but not on top of December holidays. A happy middle ground on the calendar hopefully.

For those that don’t know what Edel is referring to… It’s just a small text bar that drops down at the top of the screen when you are on the site. You can X to close it out. It automatically stays there for X number of days. It’s a great way to make major announcements & get some attention. :mega:

It should be on the top menu as “DONATE.” Can you let me know if you see it up there, though? Sometimes my Admin view is a little different. I try to test in incognito windows, but sometimes I miss things as well. :grimacing:

I think I’ll start sharing it on our Facebook from time to time as well. Facebook hates when I post links that take people off of their site, but worth a shot!

That would be amazing. :sob:

The donate button is there for me, but my work just blocked me from loading images, and that would be a lot to email it to myself, download, and ad here from my phone. Ha!

Oh, that was so rude of them. :sob:

Here it is again for anyone that needs it.

Donations are currently accepted through Paypal. Or if you are a fancy pants, this QR code will take you to the same page. :calling:

Holy cow…I hit the link on my home computer and seemed to scroll forever…that is a lot of images…is Lettuce Craft considered a charitable organization? I deducted my donations anyway…

I would like to say yes, but I’m not in a place where I can host one personally, and that is a lot to ask of a volunteer. :slightly_frowning_face:

Ut oh. Where did you see a lot of images? The link should take you to the landing page at Paypal. It looks like this:

When I hit the LettuceCraft link!! I get the donate page and am already a monthly donor…

No, not a 501c3. That would be amazing, though.

I have been applying to small business grants for the last six months or so. Figured it can’t hurt to try!

Oh, darn. I’ll have to try a few more browsers. I can’t get it to replicate that. It just goes to the Paypal page with our animals at the top for me.

Yeah, that is probably how Paypal routes it. Even though you are already a donor, they will do anything to get you to stack more donations. That’s nothing I personally did, I swear. That’s just how their site flow works.

 LettuceCraft.com requires many resources, time, and technology to keep running and thriving.

Not the donation page…the first post in this thread…I am a goof…

Oh, okies! I just deleted that link entirely from my post (changed it from the link to just LettuceCraft). No reason it needs to be a link anyway, and it’s probably a distraction from the most important link/the donation link.

Thank you for letting me know!

Is there a reason Lettuce Craft is not set up as a 501c3? It might be more eligible for certain continuous grants. As well, corporations are more willing to donate money . I worked as an accountant for non-profits for years and weaseled a lot of money out of people!

Do we have any reformed prisoners? I know how to get grants from the justice system to help in reforming people…

Oh my gosh, I love you so much.

Honestly, probably due to lack of time and knowledge, too. We were rushing to get everything up when Cster shut us down, I was trying to find new full-time employment during the holidays, and neither of us knew much about 501c3, so we just put it under the LLC I already had in place. I think the thought of hiring board members and what not would have knocked us right over the cliff at New Years ball drop.

You did a fantastic job in such a short period of time. I think as time goes by, all of us will have to think of the future of a site like LC…most boards of charities are volunteers…both my sister and I sit on several boards for local arts and music, so I do have some resources I could use to pick their brains. If you want, I can get you plain English info on 501c3’s and how to apply. It would have to be after January since I am still doing taxes for my old company. Just shoot me an IM anytime.
