I made some jewelry for my new sewing scissors! Truthfully, I made the jewelry first and then I realized I didn’t actually have sewing scissors, so then I needed to get some. You know how it is.
I anticipate this keeping my scissors safe from my husband and child for years to come!
Also an attempt to use up some of my odds and ends - I think I’ve had the scissors charm for 15 years … probably same for the beads!
Growing up there were always at least a few pairs of scissors that were easier to get to than my mom’s sewing scissors (unless you were in the sewing/laundry room) and it has always been that way in my homes, too. It has meant very little threat of some monster using them for… anything. Something that was a “life lesson” for me, is to have appropriate scissors in almost every room. Hair trimming scissors in the bathroom, tag cutting scissors in the laundry room, sandpaper cutting scissors in the garage/shop, etc. It took awhile to get all these, of course.
Love it!!! Great idea. I thought it was going to be a reminder not to leave the scissors on the couch or something. This makes more sense but I personally need that reminder. I am a bad safety person. Mr. Rage is constantly like “danger! Danger! Scissors on the couch!” Also, I have been doing needle felting and sometimes the needle breaks off from hitting wiring and the end flies off somewhere. Sometimes I find it, other times I didn’t, and yesterday I STEPPED ON ONE. Oooops… Thankfully I caught it before it went too deep.
