Spring is the time for brighter colors and more in-your-face jewelry. I have been wanting to try my hand at embroidered earrings for a while now, having seen some really cute and simple inspiration pieces. When I saw this challenge, I knew I had to give it a try!
I started with some muslin and these wooden disc beads I had in my stash. I used the beads to trace circles and started stitching…
Once they were stitched, I cut them out leaving a bit of fabric for finishing:
Each design was sewn around the original wooden disc bead for stability:
And then I glued (using hot glue) to a pair of metal tunnels I had lying around:
