Extreme Christmas Card 2024: Silver Bells

This is the A card (for family and close friends who have been “A.round” long enough to get the jokes). I made 74 if these this year. I really thought it wasn’t so much gluing, and then it was so. much. gluing.

Front of card.

Envelope.

It’s an accordion flip card. My own design.

Time to sing along…silver bells, silver bells!

It’s winter time in the city

Exchanging rings

Wishing you happ-y holidayyyys.

Designed in CorelDRAW, printed, then cut with Cameo.

The paper is pearlescent. The brand is Shimmer by Recollections, white gold.

After cutting each card, which had to be cut in two pieces to fit on the paper, I creased the pieces and glued them together at the center fold.

Once they were dry, I glittered around the bells with Stickles glitter glue. More drying time.

Printed, cut, and glued backing paper to each bell. These hold the photos in place. Also the back was very plain without the backing papers.

Printed, cut out, and glued oval photos into the oval cut outs.

The first “silver bells” and the “happy holidays” pieces are separately printed, cut, and glued, because they’re on the back of the card. More gluing!

Finally, glued the tabs to the bells to get them to zigazag.

A close up of the back.

The letter continues the theme.

Next set.
These are the C cards. I made 39 of these.

These mostly go to my husband’s (C is for) co-workers. Cut with Silhouette. I used spray glue on these which worked great!

I purchased the bell file.
The snowflake design is modified from a cut file, except THAT snowflake only had 4 arms, so I drew the arm pattern and created a six-armed snowflake from it.

Lastly.
This is the B card. B is for Book-Group. I made 20 of these.

It’s hard to see that the ribbon is a separate piece and popped up with foam dots. I glittered all of these with silver Stickles glitter glue.

Sooooo many cards and so much glueing! They all look wonderful!

WOW, the result is absolutely beautiful!

Wow! That looks like a lot of work, but they turned out beautifully.

Your cards are always amazing!

These look like they were sooo much work, but it was totally worth it; they are gorgeous and I am sure will be cherished by the recipients.

The bell “cutout” cards are especially beautiful and meaningful as well.

I also really like the book group cards; I think the one with the skates is my favourite.

Those are absolutely lovely and inspiring. Maybe I can get my act together enough for NEXT Christmas to make my own cards :christmas_tree:

I mean, not only do you make your own cards, but they are GORGEOUS. I look forward to seeing your cards every Christmas. They never disappoint.
