Yay! I thought so. And they really are so perfect for it, levels of green!
These are so whimsical! I love that you turned them into colorful ‘indoor acorns.’ I hope you make more and post them, I love everything about these!
My goodness these are wonderful! Cute and sophisticatedly so. Even without reading about the scraps and such, they are really special, but then knowing some of the behind the scenes details… MWAH!
Great googly moogly! Your craft is one of this week’s Featured Projects!
love those!
How adorable and creative!
So cute! These would be perfect fairy house or gnome home decor too!
Time to Vote in the Green Holiday “Greens” Challenge!
And this year’s Bake Off!
These are wonderful! I recently saw some that had the acorn caps painted but used the actual acorns. I hadn’t thought about weevils, so I like your version much better!
Thank you! I baked a tray of whole acorns, but it still made me a little uncomfortable, so I did start filing off the tops of the nuts themselves (under where the cap covers) and entirely hollowing out the nut, the painting and fixing a cap back on. Just no weevils for me! It’s a lot of work, though, and I liked these better anyway, so I stopped after about 10. Lol
