2/2: I spent 10 minutes tackling some of the low-hanging fruit in my craft area. That included using the last trash bag in the box, so today’s scrap is from said box.
Feb 1: cross stitch
Feb 2: cut fabric for BOM
I want to play, but also my main unwind ‘creative outlet’ is writing, so visually not too much fun to share. (But would love to have something to motivate me to be creative every day!)
Feb 1 - I wrote 2,275 words and edited a piece
Feb 2 - Worked on Valentine’s Cards
Feb 3 - More Valentine’s Cards
Feb 4 - Made soup, finished some Valentine’s Cards
Feb 5 - NONE (visited a friend after work)
Feb 6 - NONE (Friday burnout hit me)
Feb 7 - Designed labels for candy jars (still have to print them). Made ravioli with Keto Wheat flour.
Feb 8 - Printed labels for candy jars and plants, started seeds, doing some writing this evening. Also made soup. Wrote/addressed Valentine’s postcards for mailing.
Feb 9 - Plotted, Planned, Researched for my Craftlympics Nerd Games project.
Feb 10 - NONE
Feb 11 - removed zipper from jacket

Where it started:
Where we ended:
I will not say how many, many hours this took, but I will say pray for me because he doesn’t walk or extend the projectile tongue so- good news!- I get to view all the trouble shooting “disassembling” videos to back track to see where we went wrong.
Yay team.
She’s a little disappointed, naturally, but I explained that trial and error is a big part of inventing and that helped a little.
He’s ever so cute, points for that part!
Today’s thing - reorg of the pantry & a solid start on spices
2/3: Another 10ish minutes tidying. I worked on various crafty things at creative happy hour, leading to today’s scrap.
I got out the kit and looked over all the pieces. The base mat was very creased so i soaked it and pinned it on a blocking board.
That’s not nothin’! ![]()
Day 3- cut out the pieces and pinned them. Will start sewing tomorrow as I decided I needed a neutral colored headband first.
Day 3:
Had a 3,5 hour serger class at the sewing machine shop to learn all the bells and whistles on it
Then at night I worked on the corduroy pinafore dress I’ve been working on for a while. The bodice is fully lined now, which was a hassle, but I’ve moved on to the topstitching phase which is fun to do.
I have not cut into my corduroy yet as I am not sure if the pattern I picked will work. It is a pinafore as well. Can’t wait to see how yours turns out, because maybe my first choice was a good one! (I was concerned that the corduroy would not drape nicely…it feels a bit stiff right now.)
My daily things are so boring, ugh. Pantry organization, etc. I mean, it’s satisfying for me but not really in keeping with the flavour of this along. Oh well, maybe I’ll play catch up the rest of the week.
I organized my admin today and reorganized a kitchen cupboard, also pretty boring. Glad it’s done though. But I also did a bit of stitching, cooked from scratch, nearly finished February’s BOM and it’s only 8 pm.
Must be the day for kitchen cupboard organising. I’ve done some today and the middle shelf looks way tidier. (We do not look at the bottom shelf that has all the spices flung in higgledy-piggledy
)
It may seem boring to you, @Magpie, but we all know how amazing it feels to clean/organize something. Keep up the good work!
