I’ve gone to a few flower arranging events at a local flower bar. They are like a choose your own adventure. You have access to their whole inventory and select your own everything - supplies, containers, flowers, greenery. You either pay per bloom/stem or there are a set number included in the class. You get maybe 5-10 minutes of instruction and then are left to do what you want. It’s SO fun! I keep checking my calendar for ones that work for my schedule.
Here are a few things I’ve made. It’s hard to capture how dynamic and pretty they actually are in person!
You really have a knack for flower arranging! These are so pretty and visually engaging. These events sound really fun and are such a clever way for a florist/flower bar to engage with their community.
You can kind of build to your budget in most cases. The free-style class was $35 base price (for the container, supplies, and instruction) + whatever you picked to use on top of that. I think most of the greenery is a little less than $2 a stem and blooms are like $2-6 a piece, depending on the flower. I spent an additional $24 (with tax) for the stems and blooms in the first one. So if you used your own container and didn’t want the class portion, you could build the first bouquet for $24. For the wreath I kinda went overboard and I think it was about $50. The Fall one was…massive. That class included 20-25 blooms and all the supplies and greenery in the base price (so no extra cost). I think that class was $95.
