Freddy Krueger Monster High Custom

I happen to have a huge obsession with Monster High dolls. They brought the original ones back with movie-themed dolls. One doll they haven’t made yet was Freddy Krueger, and I really wanted one, so I took a chance and decided to try customizing one. Her she is!

I used the Enid doll as a base. I removed her hair and face paint and rerooted her with a mix of oranges, yellow, and red to give a fire-like look. I think I blended it too much, but live and learn.
I got the striped fabric from Spoonflower.

The glove was from a G3 doll and I used a disposable pie plate for the blades.

She has some fire scares around hr temple, but once I put the hat on, it covered it. I might try to add more later, but I don’t want to ruin her. I was really happy with how she turned out.
PS. Face-ups are so hard!!!

I was trying to figure out what to use. I kept thinking foil, but thicker. Then it hit me. It worked great!

That is really cute!
You could go a similar route for Edward Scissorhands with the pie tin…

Great job on your custom Freddy, her outfit/claw and the hair look wonderful! I’ve never thought of using a pie tin for metal blades, etc., I’ve always went for aluminum foil.

I’ve purchased a bunch of the newer MH dolls but have yet to open a single one of them!

I collect all the newer ones too (and older ones). I normally buy two so I can open one, but then never open it because I don’t want to ruin its perfection. LOL!
