@bluebird and I swapped ATCs. On her list of themes was to use a prompt from artprompts.org. I chose the category of creature but couldn’t do the first prompt (black widow spider - bleh) and got lucky with the second prompt of “Glowing Mushroom Demon”. I sketched him in pencil then used prisma color pencils to color him in and then blended with baby oil. The back ground was painted in with black glitter watercolor. Then I outlined him in white gel pen then painted around the edges with iridescent medium. I was pretty happy with how it turned out.

I too appreciate the baby oil tip. Do you have to do anything to it when you are done to prevent smearing - blot it or seal it or the like?

I use a qtip dipped in baby oil. Use very little oil or it can soak in and make a mess. I don’t have to do anything to it and once it’s dry it’s no more likely to smear than normal color pencil.
