For a “movie monsters” theme, I made this. I had so much fun with it 
The background is acrylic paint. I used watercolour and alcohol marker for the face, then cut it out and glued it onto the backing. I used my letter stamps to make the text on a piece of yellow paper, and then glued that as well.
Some of the paint is metallic, so it looks different depending on how the light hits:
