It is called Lindy Magical Powders…wet your paper and sprinkle on…you can use a brush to get a blended color, let it “bloom” on its own, spray it with more water and let it “run”…it is very versatile…I did several different techniques…
There are several colors in each color bottle…and you can mix colors on your own as well
Whoa, cool! The blue look like Indigo, also a bit like that photo-reactive paper. Very nifty!

A cheaty way to do this technique is to use watercolor pencils…just scrap some of the color with an exacto or knife…watercolor pencils are relatively cheap
Looks like you can get every colour of pigment power wholesale for pretty cheap, the descriptions indicate whether it’s for oil or water. Not sure if these would work for painting.

I love the powders because some of them contain metallics…and they also have some texture…
lol…you know how we love to save every little bit…even pencil shavings
Tee hee!
The link I posted has mica powder pigments too. I think I may order a few small amounts and play with them with the girl. She’s into making a mess as much as the rest of us, it’s so fun having a playmate!

The magical powders are actual inks…they will reactivate as well if wet or mixed…pigment powders seem to be permanent and are used to create paint like medium when mixed with gesso or pastes or even soaps…I don’t think they explode into different colors but you could mix them…it would be fun to experiment!
Ohh, like powdered ink that’s used for tattoos. Hmm, I wonder if I could find that wholesale… looks like some book binding suppliers carry it too. Nice!
I’m so behind on posting all the lovely things I’ve received.
@aimr I got some things from you. @susieoregon I got your letter and amazing goodie. I’m in love with it! @Ewulotta I love the card you sent as well! I’ve got it hanging up right now.
Starting today I shall post every single thing I get on the day I receive it. At the very least I’ll give the sender a heads up. I made myself a little spread sheet in my notebook to keep better track.
I’m going to try to send a piece of mail to every person in the exchange this month! It will not be themed. They’ll all be different. Some will be short, some will be long.
Did you know we currently have 26 people in here?! We’ll see if I make it through.
I got two new mail/stationery goodies recently and I’m itching to use them!
Question: Is there anyone who loves receiving letters? (Although some of you will get them whether you like it or not. ) I like writing letters and if anyone would like to exchange I’d be happy to!

wow–25 people? I also need to keep better track of what I have sent and received…I am only a bit behind with what I have received…I don’t want to turn this into “work” or else it won’t be fun for me but I have to do something because no way can I send 25 pieces of mail each time! lol…
btw. @Whistlefish…did you mention you wanted a Purple Thang tool in another thread? I thought I wrote you and bunny down but I can’t find that note anywhere…I might have tossed it after I sent her one…let me know…

You mean in a month…yes…I can, too…I mean each time I made a set of cards…lol…I do not want to make 25 cards each time I feel creative…I like my little batches of 9 (one sheet)…it is like creating a little art and keeps me sane!
