She 40lbs and can’t open closed doors (that’s wild!) but she will scratch the heck outta them. She is a menace.

I believe the intention was to create separation of space, which it does. It’s just so.awkward tho.

When we were looking at houses, we turned down a couple that had barn doors on their BATHROOMS! No privacy there, so nope.

I can see if a room was for a bath, but it seems to me you either have to embrace the industrial loft look or not…

I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything quite like those room-in-a-room set-ups. Cute, though. Like permanent privacy blinds.

Quick snapshots of my bathroom. They were able to save the tile floor we laid down.

Well, my house is covered in dust again. That drywaller is going to be the end of me, lol. But, I also have paint on my bedroom walls.

Ohhhhh that rich color!

Beautiful! Drywall dust gets everywhere no matter how hard they try to contain it! But, it will be worth it!

Blue must be a popular color for the main bedroom!

That colour looks great!

Thank you! I have a lot of moody blues in my palette.

I think blues are very safe for walls. They’re easy to coordinate with and most people don’t have strong (negative) feelings about the color. They’re practically a neutral.

A week and a half ago the wind pulled the cover off the deck furniture overnight allowing the rain to get the cushions all wet. They have been sitting in our living room since, because it had been rainy/snowy until yesterday when we had a lovely sunny day! So I was able to dry off the metal and put the cushions back. I was also able to test out the new side tables before putting it all back under the cover!

I picked them up at World Market last week as well. I LOVE the color so, so much. It’s just the right shade of green to go with the throw pillows, our forest and the siding stain.

I really like how the chunkiness of each cylinder goes with the chunkiness of the arms of the sofa and chairs. They also kind of mimic the “ladderiness” of the backs which I didn’t get in these photos.

I included this shot because it illustrates how the cables in the railing disappears when you’re not focused on it. I’m so excited for sitting-on-the-deck season this year!

Room in rooms were in every old converted building office space I’ve ever been in. High ceilings and lots of ductwork, easier to just build partial walls. Nice for air flow and lighting, but also allows sounds to carry. Ugh.

Last little bit on the closet make over. Putting my dirty clothes hamper in the closet has been wonderful but, without ventilation, a bit smelly. And the closet gets cold in the winter and hot in the summer. So I installed return air grates in the door at top and bottom. I first just drilled one inch holes in a pattern, but I didnot like the looks. They were just too noticeable. So biring grates it is. And I didn’t want to spend the money for more elegant ones.
