What a wonderful stash to have on hand for busy days!
That’s a lot of work! But on busy days this winter you’ll be so glad you did it.
What a great sense of accomplishment!
Yeah, it was a very busy day, but you’re right. It will be great on busy days.
Tomatoes and peppers from our garden.
Oh, I’m so jealous! I was hoping to can sauce this year, but alas, I got three cherry tomatoes and one pear tomato in my great harvest.
I can imagine all the work that went into this, from the gardening stage to the prep stage to the canning stage! Did you use your own recipe?
We were afraid we weren’t going to get tomatoes either, then all of a sudden…seemingly thousands!
I used my own recipe, just figured what I would use for a pot of spaghetti and multiplied it by a lot. Except for the spices, that was by taste.
This makes me think of my family’s spaghetti sauce - I never thought to make a bunch and can it, such a good idea!
scrumptious! One day when I get back to gardening, I will be inspired by this and have a go at it
