I made this for an “Artist’s Choice” topic in the July ATC swap.
The background is acrylic using my “sploosh” method to use up leftover paint, then filled in with a bit more paint.
The lettering is done in black and white permanent marker, and then I added some lines around the word “everywhere” in gold permanent marker. The lettering is on a piece of plastic salvaged from some packaging (non-recyclable, but definitely reusable )
I used staples to adhere the plastic to the painted paper, and then added the washi tape both to frame the words as well as to hide the staples. I glued another piece of paper to the back to hide the staples on that side.
I was wondering. It’s very interesting to look at in person. So many intriguing layers and it catches light in different ways. Love that it was partially up cycled as well. It’s living on display with my favorite little collection and plants:)
