I was going to call this little monster a Yetini but that just makes me think of mixed drinks. So let’s just go with Itty Bitty Yeti!
I used the same template as my Pipsquatch, but added some cute little horns and switched up the color scheme. I love it soooooooo much. Though this little monster lives with a friend now.
Also, I learned you can use a lighter to burn the edges of your felt to seal them and avoid wispy fibers. I used that technique for the teeny foot pads.
What a cute little monster! I really like how you embroidered across the horns. That little tooth - I love it!! Also, I don’t know how you resisted calling him a yitti for the rhyme factor. I, myself am 100% unable to resist . Your friend is lucky to have received such a cute little yitti!
He’s so cute! His eyes are so expressive and sweet. Adorable. I love him and want to tickle his feet! Actually, I will, since he is sitting next to me. Thank you so much!!
Gosh, that’s such a cutie. I imagine a whole wintery blue & white holiday tree adorned with adorable monsters. Or a garland, I’d keep that up all year I’m sure!
Adorable frigid critter! I’ve never heard of using a lighter to seal felt until now. I’d be especially scared to try that on white as burns would show easily.
Thank you! You aren’t wrong and you do have to be SUPER careful with burning the edges. I have accidentally burned some pieces and had to discard and redo them. Also…fire safety, better to keep a jar of water next to you in case your fleece goes up quickly and you need to put out the flames.
I need to expirement with fray check and see how that does in comparison.
