It was really surprisingly tricky doing the splatters! I thought I was quite good at those but I guess not so much with a “controlled” splatter, lol.

oh, the heart planet is adorable!!

and @jemimah , thanks so much for all you shared! the handout will be such a great reference, and I really enjoyed our time in class, although I spent the first 15 min. running around gathering my stuff and I never turned on my camera since my wet hair was all wrapped up in a turban & I felt self conscious(sp?)
Can’t wait to try this again when I can focus a bit better & have more of an idea about what to do!

Love all of the photos shared here! I still need to add borders on mine – and my paper must have been too thin, and it’s curling up somewhat – is there a way to flatten it again?

I iron paper on low without steam. You can weight it with heavy books too.

Wow, all the birds look so wonderful!! All the cool little unique touches are just fantastic!! different borders, different compositions, layering! all kinds of splatters and doodles and shapes! top hats! I’m really enjoying seeing all your creative ideas, and I hope you’ll all keep playing and experimenting with your paints :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: :art:

@kayrun one way I use to flatten watercolour pictures is to brush or spray a little clean water on the back, then lay it under a stack of books and leave it for a few days. I usually put a protective layer of clean paper or silicon baking paper around the painting before putting it under the books.

@Cindy I hope you enjoy trying out the tubes!

Added a border, didn’t like so cut it off, started another with an oops on the bottom so cut that part off. Made a hanging heart but didn’t like it so made another and glued it on top. Don’t like the planet colouring but leaving it before I wreck the entire thing. I’ll stick this one in my keepsake book and attempt another for my bird themed bathroom …

Am I glad I took this course, absolutely!

Found the rabbit, still looking for a duck. I do see a fox, maybe that’s why…

Can I just say that I love this place and you guys. I am having a kind of a blue Tuesday, and have (finally!) started watching the recording of this session (only a little way through). And seeing @jemimah’s lovely face and hearing her accent and hearing @photojenn and seeing @Magpie working away have made me smile and made me feel happy, and that I belong here.

massive tuesday hugs to you all
