I was at my art group the other day, and feeling kind of uninspired. I’m supposed to be working on a series of pictures of local vulnerable species - one of them is a little brown frog called the Booroolong Frog.
I thought I’d do a drawing in marker pen, to force myself to draw a bit looser. I didn’t love the drawing on its own, but since I was there anyway, I raided the random supplies, scissors and glue, and discarded magazines in the art room. I just threw things on the page until I started really liking it.
I love this so much! The colours, the composition, and the text as well. I really love artwork that has writing here and there. And the composition looks really well planned even though you said you just kept adding things until you were happy I also love the idea of creating artwork to highlight vulnerable species
