Lap Blanket

I finally finished my lap blanket. I used some Lion Brand mandala yarn plus a bunch of random plain colored yarns (I used 2 strands at once). The basic stitch was a double then single, alternated. Then on the next row the double crochets were done in the previous singles and the singles were done in the previous doubles. Then a classic shell border. This is a thick heavy blanket - just in time for spring

That one pic is less than half my bed. Itโ€™s only across the foot so looks deceptively large

Love the way you merged/mashed in the yellow to add some cohesiveness to the scrappy yarns! It looks cozy and comfyโ€ฆha ha letโ€™s hope spring waits a few more weeks (as I walk around barefoot sweeping my deckโ€ฆ)

Oh, I love the effect of using the two yarns at once! Creates cool speckles. And makes it so snuggly, too!

What a lovely blanket! It looks so squishy-squashy, snuggly-wuggly. Love it!

I love the heathered effect of the double strand of yarn. This turned out beautiful!
