“Lashes” pin

I thought this was weird enough to be suitable for Halloween. I wrapped jute with embroidery floss, gluing it down as I went along. Then I formed the cord into the eye shape that you see, and glued it. I used binder clips to hold everything in place until it was dry. Then I glued the lashes to the back, and a pin back on the back as well. The iris is painted, because I realized that a solid white eyeball was looking very weird. Lol!

I sent this to @MightyMitochondria for the Halloween grab bag swap.

I saw something similar on Pinterest and decided that I should make my own version. The lashes are some vintage plastic ones I happened to have in my stash. If I were to make more I’d have to find more of them because I think they worked perfectly!
